Administrator of the Year | Synchro Canada’s Administrator of the Year Award recognizes a member of Synchro Canada who has made a significant contribution to synchronized swimming in an administrative role. |
Athlete of the Year | Synchro Canada’s Athlete of the Year Award recognizes an athlete of Synchro Canada who has had significant success in synchronized swimming. |
Board of Directors Honour Award |
The Board of Directors Pin is awarded to individuals of the synchro community who, in the judgment of the Board of Directors, have made a significant contribution as a volunteer to the development and the betterment of the sport for twenty-five (25) years or more. A person may only receive this Award once. Up to a maximum of (2) two Board of Director’s Award will be made each year but it will not be awarded in a year when the Board of Directors of Synchro Canada feels there is no suitable nominee. |
Bridge Builder Award |
This is a special recognition award for a person who works today in order that those who follow tomorrow will find safety, strength and success in the sport of Synchronized Swimming ; a person who demonstrates vision and flexibility for the future, as well as respect for Synchro Canada’s rich past and as a ‘Bridge Builder’ paves the road to tomorrow with their encouragement and achievements ; a person, who has initiated, continued a program, event or endeavor that allows for future growth and development in Synchronized Swimming in Canada ; a person who by their actions and attitude works to build bridges that span ability, age and distance in order to position Canadian Synchronized Swimming as a world leader. It will not be awarded in a year when the Board of Directors of Synchro Canada feels there is no suitable nominee. |
Certificate of Merit |
The Certificate of Merit is awarded to individuals who in the judgment of the Board of Directors have contributed significant volunteer service for three (3) or more years. A person may only receive this Certificate once. There is no limit to the number of Certificates of Merit that will be awarded each year. |
Distinguished Member Award | Synchro Canada’s Distinguished Member Award recognizes a member of Synchro Canada who has made an exceptional contribution to the ‘art as well as the sport’ of synchronized swimming. |
Grassroots Official of the Year Award |
The Grassroots Official of the year is awarded to the most outstanding official who has shown dedication and contributed the most to the betterment of the sport of synchronized swimming within a provincial/territorial synchro community. Each provincial/territorial Synchronized Swimming Association may only nominate 1 outstanding Level 1 or Level 2 official and the Awards Nomination Committee will select 1 recipient. A person may only receive this award once. The recipient of this award will be fully funded by Synchro Canada to Volunteer Awards Dinner Celebration to receive the award. |
Grassroots Volunteer of the Year Award |
The Grassroots Volunteer of the year is awarded to the most outstanding volunteer member who has shown dedication and contributed the most to the betterment of the sport of synchronized swimming for a club or provincial/territorial synchro community. Each provincial/territorial Synchronized Swimming Association may only nominate 1 outstanding volunteer and the Awards Nomination Committee will select 1 recipient. A person may only receive this award once. The recipient of this award will be fully funded by Synchro Canada to Volunteer Awards Dinner Celebration to receive the award. |
Honour Roll | The Honour Roll recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the activities and initiatives of the Association. |
Lifetime Achievement Award | The Life Time Achievement Award is presented to individuals, who in the judgment of the Board of Directors, have served, dedicated and contributed for 40 years or more.
A person may only receive this Award once. Up to a maximum of (2) two Life Time Achievement Awards will be made each year but it will not be awarded in a year when the Board of Directors of Synchro Canada feels there is no suitable nominee. |
Officials Recognition |
The Officials Recognition will recognize Level 3 and 4 officials at increments starting with 5 years for their dedication and contribution the sport of synchronized swimming as an official and/or referee. Provincial/Territorial associations and the Officials Management team may provide names of eligible officials to be recognized at 5, 10, 15 and 25 years of service. A person may only receive each increment once. These individuals may not be recognized in both the Officials Recognition program and the Volunteer Certificate of Merit Recognition Awards for the same service. There is no limit to the number of officials that will be recognized at any increment. |
President’s Pin Award |
The President’s Pin is awarded to individuals who, in the judgment of the Board of Directors, have shown volunteer commitment and dedication to for fifteen (15) years or more. A person may only receive this Award once. Up to a maximum of (4) four President’s Award will be made each year. It will not be awarded in a year when the Board of Directors of Synchro Canada feels there is no suitable nominee. |
Silver Pin Award | The Silver Pin is awarded to individuals who, in the judgment of the Board of Directors, have contributed significant volunteer service for ten (10) or more years.
A person may only receive this Pin once. There is no limit to the number of Silver Pins that will be awarded each year. |
The Charlotte Tutte-Eyres Trophy | Awarded to a coach who reflects the philosophy of Charlotte Tutte, in developing Team spirit and enhancing growth of athletes as individuals and competitors |
The Suzanne Eon Trophy | Given in the name of the long time coach and innovator. It is awarded to a coach to reward and encourage this person to continue coaching |
The Sylvie Fortier Award | For the best membership growth percentage in the sport of Synchronized Swimming |
The Terry Hambrook Memorial Trophy | For the most promising 13-15 category coach. |
