2010 Comen Cup: 2 medals, including one gold

The 2010 13-15 National Team proudly represented Canada at the 2010 Comen Cup by winning two medals. In solo, Jacqueline Simoneau climbed from the second position after the prelims to the gold medal in final, beating Kristina Makushenko from Russia. In duet, Simoneau and Anne-Marie Chouinard won the silver medal. Simoneau also took the third position in figures and the team, the 4th position. Congratulations to all the athletes and coaching staff: Elena Podolsky (head coach), Geneviève Mercier and Johana Vazquez (assistant coaches), and Maude Pelchat (apprentice coach and team manager). Athlete Council: new Chair

Following the hiring of Sarah-Ève Pelletier as broadcast attorney for the International Olympic Committee, Synchro Canada’s Athlete Council approved Courtney Brown as the new chair. She will be assisted by Jessica Outhwaite from British Columbia as the new co-chair.
