Canada's National Synchro Team On Deck At UANA Junior Pan Am Champs
August 12, 2009 (North Carolina, USA): The top Canadian junior synchro athletes are ready to make a splash at the UANA Pan American Junior Championships which run from August 13-15 in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Prior to arriving in Huntersville, the team, duets and soloists fine-tuned their routines at a six week training camp in Calgary, led by Head Coach Jennifer Tregale and assistant coaches Nathalie Lagrange and Laurel Hindle.
The National Junior Team members include:

Chloe Isaac (Brossard, Que.)
Emilia Kopcik (Brossard, Que.)
Rachel Kowalski (Kitchener, Ont.)
Gabrielle Lepage (Montreal, Que.)
Rebecca Maule (Guelph, Ont.)
Marie Rondeau (Quebec, Que.)
Camille Thuot (Montreal, Que.)
Anne-Marie Vezina (Quebec, Que.)
Veronica Winter (Port Coquitlam, B.C.)
Veteran swimmer Isaac and Kopcik will take to the pool in the solo event. Isaac just returned from the 2009 World Aquatic Championships where she earned a bronze medal in the team event and a fourth place finish in the solo free routine and duet free routine.
Kopcik will join forces with team-mate Frappier to compete in the duet competition, and Kowalski and Maule will also team together to represent Canada in the duet event as well.
Athletes representing Argentina, Aruba, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, United States and Venezuela will be participating in this event.
