SYNCHRO CANADA CELEBRATES CLUB EXCELLENCE
Inaugural High-Performance Incentive Program Recipients Announced
September 30, 2009 (OTTAWA, ON): Synchro Canada is proud to announce the recipients of the new High-Performance Incentive Plan, a program that provides funding to clubs that qualified athletes to the 2009/2010 National AA/A Team.
“The program is designed to recognize, celebrate and show appreciation to clubs for the hard work that they put into developing some of Canada’s top synchro athletes,” says Jadine Cleary, Synchro Canada’s Domestic Technical Director. “Our hope is that what we are able to offer clubs in return for their hard work will provide a small boost to their high performance initiatives.”
The grant funds are to be used by the clubs in the pursuit of targeted high performance initiatives, such as Tier 6 and 7 coach salaries, expert contracts (eg. in the area of nutrition, strength, and choreography), special support for current National Junior or 13-15 Team athletes, or supporting development camp and specific competitions.
The top five recipient clubs for 2009/2010 are Montréal Synchro, Synchro Elite, Calgary Aquabelles, Dollard Synchro Club, and Granite Synchro.
Congratulations to all the recipient clubs.
