Synchro Canada Hosts Annual General Meeting

SYNCHRO CANADA HOSTS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

October 19, 2009 (MONTREAL): Synchro Canada’s 2009 Annual General Meeting took place this past weekend in Montreal, Quebec. A highlight of the weekend was the re-election of Lisa Schott (two-year term), Janice MacLellan (two-year term) and Monique Lupien (one-year term) and the first-time election of Henry Scheil (two-year term) to the Synchro Canada Board of Directors. These members join Sheilagh Croxon and Mario Welsh, who both have one year remaining in their terms, as well as Athlete Council Chair, Sarah-Eve Pelletier.
As per the organization’s new bylaws, the President is appointed by the Board at the board meeting immediately following the AGM, and Lisa Schott was re-appointed, to the position of President.

The weekend also included an Award Gala event at the Olympic Stadium, and an impressive watershow performed by Synchro Canada’s A and AA Teams.

At the Award Gala long-time judge and synchro volunteer Diane van der Pol was honoured with the prestigious Bridge Builder Award for her 34 years as a dedicated official, volunteer and active contributor to the synchro community.
