- 2010 Western Divisionnals Championships

- 2010 Canadian Open Championships Updated Information Package now available
Please note that you can now download the updated information package for the 2010 Canadian Open Championships, which will be held in Charlottetown, PEI, April 28-May 2, 2010. Entry deadline is March 28. You can download the information package and the forms from the Events and Results section: http://www.synchro.ca/index.php?option=com_content&task=category&id=52&Itemid=38&lang=english.
The organizing committee would also like to mention that there is some pool time available to rent in the competition pool on Monday and Tuesday during the week of the Canadian Open Championships, as some in the recreation pool on Wednesday. - 2010 Canadian Espoir Championships Information Package now available
Please note that you can now download the information package for the 2010 Canadian Espoir Championships, which will be held in Montreal, QC, June 2-6, 2010. Entry deadline is April 15. - Grace Period for Coaches attending 2010 Nationals
For the Canadian Open and Canadian Espoir Competitions this year leeway will be given to Coaches who have not yet achieved their Level 3 due to the transition from the Old NCCP to the New NCCP delaying the training process. The grace period for having ones Level 3 or Competition Development Trained status will be only extended for the 2009-2010 competitive season and coaches will need to have their Level 3 or Competition Development Trained status for the 2010-2011 competitive season. - Synchro Canada announces the 15 clubs selected for its 2009-2010 Club Excellence Grant Program
Synchro Canada is pleased to announce the 15 clubs selected for its 2009-2010 Club Excellence Program. This year, Synchro Canada is distributing $14,000 to the recipients with amount varying between $4,000 and $1,500 for clubs in the Gold category, $500 for Silver and $250 for Bronze. - 2010 13-15 Canadian National Team Head Coach Selected
Synchro Canada is glad to exclusively announce to its community Elena Podolsky, Olympium club’s coach, as the 2010 13-15 Canadian National Team Head Coach. She will lead the team, which will be selected following the 2010 Canadian Espoir Championships, to the Comen Cup in Greece from July 21-25, 2010, and the camp from June 21-July 20. An official announcement will be made next week. Stay tuned!
- Louise Kennedy appointed Synchro Canada International Officials Leader
Synchro Canada’s Board appointed Louise Kennedy as the new International Officials Leader effective April 1st and for a mandate of two years. International judge since 1991 with the FINA A Rating since February 2006, Louise Kennedy from British Columbia will especially manage the Canadians officials assignments in international competition. Synchro Canada would like to congratulate Louise Kennedy for this nomination and thanks Heather Archer for their involvement in this position for the last years.
- Synchro Canada starring the latest FINA Aquatics World Magazine edition
In the latest edition of the FINA Aquatics World Magazine edition, you’ll find the article “North America is coming back”, an article about the comeback of North American Synchronized Swimming countries as Canada, including quotes from Synchro Canada’s national head coach Denise Sauvé. Khadija Cutcher, Synchro Manitoba High Performance Coach, has been nominated for the Dr. Jack Hunt Memorial Award for her work in coaching at the “Developmental” level. The award reception will be held at the 23rd Annual Coaching Manitoba Excellence Awards Breakfast on April 11th. Congratulations Khadija for your nomination and good luck!
