Montréal Synchro and Variety Village Synchro Club will represent Canadian synchronized swimming in..

Ottawa, March 29, 2010 – Synchro Canada would like to wish good luck to Montréal Synchro (Montreal, borough Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension, QC) and Variety Village Synchro Club (Scarborough, ON) which will represent Canadian synchronized swimming at the 24th Novice Youth Competition, April 1st to 3rd, in Dusseldorf, Germany.

These clubs were approved by Synchro Canada’s International Bid Selection Committee to attend the competition following the submission and review of their International Bid for the competition.

Annabelle Frappier (Mont-Saint-Hilaire, QC) and Camille Thuot (Montreal, borough Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension, QC) from Montreal Synchro, both members of the 2009 Junior National Team, will take part in the junior solo and duet events. Karine Doré (Montreal, borough Plateau-Mont-Royal, QC) is the coach accompanying those two swimmers.

Amy Armstrong (Toronto, ON), Stephanie Bourrie (Newmarket, ON), Deanna Burns (Scarborough, ON), Michelle Cuthbert (Toronto, ON), Natalia Kshonze (Toronto, ON), Danielle LoPresti (Toronto, ON), Claire Moura (Toronto, ON), Kyra Moura (Toronto, ON), Joanna Stuart (Toronto, ON) and Natasha Warren (Scarborough, ON) will be Variety Village’s representatives at the competition. They will all swim in the team event (alternates: Natalia Kshonze and Claire Moura), as Deanna Burns, Stephanie Bourrie and Amy Armstrong (alternate) will also compete in the solo event. In the duet event, Variey Village will be represented by Natalia Kshonze/Amy Armstrong, Claire Moura/Kyra Moura, and Michelle Cuthbert/Joanna Stuart (alternate duet). Jennifer Shaver (Scarborough, ON) is the coach accompanying Variety Village swimmers.

Jackie Hiscock (St. John’s, NF) and Josée Daudelin (Saint-Hyacinthe, QC) have been appointed as judges for the competition.
