  1. Two bronze medals for Annabelle Frappier in Germany
    Annabelle Frappier of Montréal Synchro won bronze medals in the free solo and free duet events in the A category, with her teammate Camille Thuot, last weekend, at the 24th Novice Youth Competition in Dusseldorf, Germany. Camille Thuot finished just behind Annabelle in the solo event, in 4th place. In the figures event, Annabelle Frappier and Camille Thuot, both members of the 2009 Junior National Team, took respectively the 6th and 9th positions. The Variety Village Synchro Club was also represented with 10 athletes. The team took the overall 9th position amongst 25 teams, including a 8th position in the free team event, the 8th position of Amy Armstrong in the free solo event (B category), and the 9th position of Kyra and Claire Moura in the free duet (B category).   2. Synchro Canada’s National Team Members will take part to an international competition in Switzerland
    Synchro Canada will be represented by two of its National Team members at the 2010 Swiss Youth Competition which will be held at Lugano, Switzerland, April 10-11, 2010. Read the press release: http://www.synchro.ca/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=171&Itemid=64.  

  3. Competition Development Pilot cancelled
    Due to a lack of interested and eligible coaches the Competition Development Pilot has been cancelled.  The Competition Development Pilot will be rescheduled to a summer date that has yet to be decided.  The pilot will be open to any coaches with the qualifications to take the course, and will be the first and best opportunity for coaches to receive their Synchro Specific Competition Development training prior to the Canada Games.  If you are interested in receiving more information on the session and when it will take place, please email Bryan Cook, Synchro Canada Sport Development Manager ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ), for more information.

  4. Call for Nominations: Athlete Achievement Awards
    The 2010 Athlete Council (AC) wishes to announce their 3rd annual Athlete Achievement Awards. Recipients of these awards will be celebrated at the 2010 Canadian Open Championships in Charlottetown, PEI and the 2010 Espoir Championships in Montreal, QC. Do you know athletes that juggle school, piano, voice, community service and the synchro? We want to hear about them and celebrate their success! Types of Athletes Achievement Awards: Outstanding contribution to synchronized swimming in Canada, Outstanding contribution to the community, Outstanding Academic Achievement, Outstanding Extracurricular Achievement, Outstanding Team Spirit, Outstanding Retired Athlete Achievement.
