The team members are: Marie Albert (Ottawa, ON, Montréal Synchro), Natasha Bernier (Quebec City, QC, Synchro Élite), Anne-Marie Chouinard (Montreal-Borough Anjou, QC, Montréal Synchro), Jordan McKenzie (Calgary, AB, Calgary Aquabelles), Roxanne Morneau-Carrier (Quebec City, QC, Synchro Élite), Alina Ryssina (Aurora, ON, Granite Synchro), Mathilde Sauvé (Quebec City, QC, Synchro Élite), Jacqueline Simoneau (Montreal-Borough Saint-Laurent, QC, Montréal Synchro), Kali Wong (Calgary, AB, Calgary Aquabelles) and Olivia Zawadiuk (Coquitlam, B.C., PacificSport Aquasonics). They will all compete at the 2010 Comen Cup. The 10-member squad is led by the 2010 Synchro Canada 13-15 national team head coach Elena Podolsky (Toronto, ON- Etobicoke Olympium) and her assistants Geneviève Mercier (Quebec City, QC-Synchro Élite) and Johana Vasquez (Terrebonne, QC-Montréal Synchro). Maude Pelchat (Laval, QC, Dollard Synchro) is also there as an apprentice coach and team leader. Jacqueline Simoneau was selected as the soloist and will also compete in duet with Anne-Marie Chouinard. Last year, the 2009 13-15 National Team won a bronze medal in the team event and took the fourth position in solo and duet at the Comen Cup. Several members of that team are currently on the 2010 national junior team which will compete at the 2010 FINA World Junior Synchronized Swimming Championships. The team was selected following a selection camp which concluded Monday, June 7, in Montreal, QC, following the 2010 Canadian Espoir Championships.

Ottawa, July 19, 2010 – Synchro Canada’s 2010 13-15 National Team will represent the country at the 2010 Comen Cup, held in Chania, Greece, July 21-25.
