- Canada improves its performance from 2008 at the 2010 FINA World Junior Championships
Synchro Canada would like to congratulate its 2010 National Junior Team who won three bronze medals last week at the 2010 FINA World Junior Championships! Canada got the bronze medal in solo (Emilia Kopcik), duet (Emilia Kopcik and Rachel Fréchette, alternate: Gabrielle Cardinal) and team, and finished 4th in combo. At the 2008, Canada won the silver in solo and the bronze in duet. Canada also improved its average ranking in figures compared to 2008.
Congratulations to Gabriella Brisson, Sarah Brunin-Brouillette, Gabrielle Cardinal, Catherine Dee, Annabelle Frappier, Rachel Fréchette, Emilia Kopcik, Rachel Kowalski, Rebecca Maule, Camille Thuot and Braley Traub, as Synchro Canada's national junior team head coach Meng Chen, her assistants Lyne Piché and Jenn Tregale, the apprentice coach Kara Kalin and the team manager Kristen Brawley. You all proudly represented Canada!
Synchro Canada would also like to recognize the participation of Camille Bourgeois-Lessard and Claudia Holzner who were also part of the original 2010 National Junior Team, but who did not compete due to injuries.

- Synchro Canada announces its team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games
Synchro Canada and Commonwealth Games Canada announced the athletes who will represent Canada at the XIXth Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India this October. The Canadian team members selected are Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon (Rivière-du-Loup, QC), Chloé Isaac (Brossard, QC) and Élise Marcotte (L’Ancienne-Lorette, QC). Boudreau-Gagnon will compete in the solo event and in duet with Isaac. Marcotte is the duet substitute. Julie Sauvé is the coach. - Canadian athletes won 10 medals at the 2010 FINA World Masters Championships
Synchro Canada would like to apologize to the CAEM for missing one silver medal in the combo event (20-39) in the medal list at the 2010 FINA World Masters Championships. Canadian athletes won ten medals: two gold, six silver and two bronze, and took six fourth positions. Congratulations to the CAEM silver medalist combo team: Annie Arseneau, Dominique Beaudet, Annie Belanger, Emilie Lussier, Véronique Nantel, Josiane Osborne, Marylène Perreault, Marie-Stéfanie Tachereau and Jessica Vu. - Synchro Canada’s National Team at the morning show Salut! Bonjour!
Synchro Canada is inviting all its members to watch the morning show Salut! Bonjour! on TVA Tuesday, August 24, as the show will do their weather broadcast live with the National Team. The first appearance will be at 7:20 am and the second, at 8:10 am.

On September 18th, CBC Sports will present a 2-4 hour broadcast for the Sports Day in Canada, a new national event that celebrates sport at all levels across Canada. Using the model that CBC created for Hockey Day in Canada, Sports Day in Canada is an opportunity to showcase all manner of sports, while mobilizing the nation in the power of being active. Trunk Sale for the Cure by the Burlington Synchronized Swimming Club
The Burlington Synchronized Swimming Club (BSSC) is holding a giant community garage sale Saturday, August 21, from 8 am to 1 pm in the Ascension Catholic School parking lot in Burlington, ON - 5205 New Street (beside Centennial Swimming Pool). Proceeds will be add to BSSC's Burning Bright for Breast Cancer fall fundraiser. If anyone wants to join in the garage sale the cost of $25 to participate is added to our Burning Bright fund that we will be donating for breast cancer research and the participant will be given two parking spots to do whatever they like with.
