  1. Historic performance for Canada at the 2010 FINA World Cup
    Synchro Canada’s National Team won four medals at the 2010 FINA World Cup held in China last week, best performance ever for Canada in synchronized swimming at a FINA competition, World Aquatic Championships or World Cup. Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon got four medals: silver in duet with Chloé Isaac, bronze in solo, team and combo. Congratulations to all the athletes who proudly represented the country.   2. 2010 National Team Selection Camp
    Synchro Canada would like to wish good luck to the 19 athletes from across the country who will take part to the 2010 National Team Selection Camp in Montreal, September 24-25. The 19 athletes will try to grab one of the 11 spots available. Synchro Canada will unveal the 2010-2011 National Teams members next week following the 2010 National Team Selection Camp.

  3. 2010 Synchro Canada Volunteer Awards: deadline is Friday, September 24th
    Take the time to nominate individuals within your province who have made a significant contribution to our sport by nominating them to the 2010 Synchro Canada Volunteer Awards. Check the criteria for the different levels of awards and fill the nomination form available in the AGM section on our Website. The successful nominees will be chosen by the Committee and recommended to the Synchro Canada Board of Directors for their approval. The announcement and presentation of the Awards will take place during the Presidents Reception on Friday October 22, 2010.   4. Synchro Canada’s 2010 AGM and Board of Directors election
    Check out the information package regarding the 2010 Synchro Canada AGM which will be held October 22-24, 2010, in Banff, Alberta.   5. 2010 Synchro Canada High Performance Summit
    Synchro Canada is inviting all its high performance coaches to save the dates of November 19-20 for the 2010 Synchro Canada High Performance Summit, which will be held at the Lord Elgin Hotel in Ottawa in conjunction with the 2010 Sport Leadership conference, November 18-21. The High Performance Summit will include: key learnings from the 2010 International Competitions, on injury prevention and the application for your club athletes including activation exercices and overall athletic development for increased performance, how to’s for coaching sharpness, pattern changes and highlights, and a figure session. The fees are $600 if booked before October 7th.     Synchro Canada is also inviting and encouraging all coaches to take part in the SPIN Summit prior to the High Performance Summit, November 17 and 18 at The Westin Ottawa hotel in Ottawa, with the theme Performance Analysis: Targeting Technology for Podium Performances.   9. Reminder: AthletesCAN introduces Health & Dental plan for high performance athletes and alumni
    On July 27th, AthletesCAN, in partnership with Etherington Generations, Benefits By Design and Coaches of Canada, launched a valuable Health & Dental benefit opportunity to its members, Canada’s national team athletes and alumni.   10. Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games: Athlete Advisory Council
    The Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games Host Corporation has created an Athlete Advisory Council (AAC) to support and enhance their overall vision and is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to build a strong and effective Council.     A new report evaluating the impact of the Coaching Association of Canada’s (CAC) “Women in Coaching Canada Games Apprenticeship Program” reveals statistics that demonstrate the program’s success in breaking down some barriers female coaches face in pursuing a coaching career.     Synchro Ontario is very excited to share that the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation-Ontario Report to the Community Cover features our top fundraising club for Burning Bright in 2009: Sudbury Synchro! Synchro Ontario is very proud that synchro was selected by the Foundation to be featured on the annual report which is being distributed across the province to donors. Congratulations to all on Burning Bright's impact and importance to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Ontario Chapter. Way to go Ontario!

    Olympium Synchro
    Olympium Synchro is delighted to share the news that our High Performance Coach Kelly Hogan has been appointed Assistant Coach of the 2011 Canada Games Team for Ontario. Kelly joins Head Coach Yingli Hou as Ontario's talented group of Canada Games athletes continues to train in preparation for the Games February 22-26 in Halifax.

    Synchro Saskatchewan would like to thanks Leslie Taylor who organized a clinic for 41 participants, including the production of dvd's, for judges and coaches to improve the skills of the athletes, coaches and juges.
