- Synchro Canada introduces its 2010-2011 national team
Synchro Canada is pleased to introduce its national team that will train at the Centre of Excellence in Montreal for the 2010-2011 season. The athletes were selected following a selection camp held September 24-25 at Synchro Canada’s Centre of Excellence in the Quebec Centre of Excellence for Aquatic Sports at the Olympic Park Sports Centre in Montreal. The 19 athletes went through numerous physical, technical and endurance tests as well as medical check-up. - Job opportunity: Synchro Canada's National Team Manager
Synchro Canada is currently seeking applications to fill the position of National Team Manager located at the Center of Excellence in Montréal. This position will report directly to the High Performance Manager. The National Team Manager works closely with all Synchro Canada staff: National Office Staff; National Team Athletes; National Team Coaches and National Team support staff as required as well as external stakeholders involved at the CNMM as part of the high-performance team working at the Centre of Excellence. Synchro Canada is inviting all its coaches to take part to the following events coming up soon:

- SPIN Summit (November 17-18, Ottawa)
- 2010 Petro-Canada Sport Leadership Conference (November 18-21, Ottawa)

- Synchro Canada’s 2010 AGM and Board of Directors election
Check out the information package regarding the 2010 Synchro Canada AGM which will be held October 22-24, 2010, in Banff, Alberta. - 2011 Canadian Open Schedule
Please note that the 2011 Canadian Open Championships, which will be held in Calgary, Alberta, will start on Tuesday April 26, 2011, with spacing and will end on Sunday, May 1st, at around 2 pm, followed by the Junior National Team trials on Monday and Tuesday, May 2nd and 3rd. The competition will then start Wednesday, April 27.
- 2011 AWAD Nationals Championships
Please note that the 2011 Nationals Championships for the athletes with a disability will be held during the 2011 Eastern/Atlantic Divisionals which will be held March 15-20, 2011, in Etobicoke, Ontario.
- 2011 WADA Prohibited List: Summary of Revisions
The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) would like to alert the Canadian sport community that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has released the 2011 Prohibited List and updated the International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions. This advisory note details some of the major changes brought to these standards, which come into effect January 1, 2011. - Canadian Olympic Committee Marks One Year to Guadalajara Pan American Games
One of the world's biggest sport events will begin in Guadalajara, Mexico one year from October 14, 2010, with the largest contingent of Canadian athletes at any one event. The 2011 Pan American Games run Oct. 14 to 30 in Guadalajara, just nine months prior to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
