  1. Epiderma becomes an official sponsor of Synchro Canada and our senior national synchronized swimming team
    Quebec firm Epiderma, a Canadian leader in the medical aesthetics field, announced that it became the official sponsor of Canada’s Senior National Synchronized Swimming Team. The signing of a three year agreement with Synchro Canada, represents a potential global money and services investment for the National Senior Team of close to $300,000 for Epiderma. More details

  2. Follow the 2011 Canada Games synchronized swimming finals on the Synchro Canada Website
    Check out the 2011 Canada Games section on our Website. You’ll find a link to the live webcast produced by the Canada Games. It also includes the full competition schedule, members of each team and a link to the results. Good luck to all the provinces! Check it out now.

  3. 2011 Athlete Council Election: deadline for application is this Sunday
    Synchro Canada has extended the deadline for nominations for the 2011 Athlete Council to encourage more members to nominate athletes for the positions available.  The new deadline is this Sunday February 27th, 2011. Given the extended deadline, the provincial championship elections will be cancelled and the elections will instead take place at each Divisional Championship in March. Apply now.

  4. National Team at the premiere of the TV show Le défi des champions
    Don’t miss the first show of Le défi des champions, presented Sunday, February 27 at 8:30 pm (Eastern Time) on the TVA network, where our National Team members will take part in a special presentation at the end of the show. Also, Olympian Marie-Pierre Gagné is taking part to the show. More information on this show.

  5. 3 mark system training sessions
    The new three-mark system recently implemented by FINA was identified as a major area of concern. In order to better prepare officials for this new challenge, the OMT is conducting two seminars for all provincial and national level officials (Level 1–Level 5) at the Eastern/Atlantic and Western Divisionals. More details.

  7. Information package for the 2011 Canadian Masters Championships now available
    Download the first information package for the 2011 Canadian Masters Championships which will be held in Montreal in mid-June. Download it now.

  8. Job opportunity at Synchro Canada
    Synchro Canada is now looking for a Finance & Administrative Coordinator who will be primarily responsible for providing financial and general administration services to Synchro Canada and office staff on a daily basis. Responsibilities of the position include: assisting technical staff in administrative matters, website management, assisting with meetings, making travel arrangements, assisting with reports and publications, and handling special projects. Deadline for application is March 13. More details.  

  9. National Team Members at the Quebec’s Games
    Four National Senior Team members will be at the Quebec’s Games Monday, February 28th. Anne-Marie Vézina, Lisa Mikelberg, Marie Rondeau and Annabelle Frappier, who have all participated in this competition before, will go to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield to meet the athletes, talk to them and answer their questions.   11. Support the Canadian Olympic Team
    The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) have teamed up on a Facebook fan campaign to harness all that passion and support for our budding athletes as we celebrate the one-year anniversary of Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games (Feb 12-28).  For every new Canadian fan of Canada at “Keep Exploring” on Facebook, one shiny loonie will go to the Canadian Olympic Team. The promotion runs until February 28, one year after the Closing Ceremony. Support the Canadian Olympic Team! Visit Canada, Keep Exploring on Facebook and athletes will receive $1 for every “Like.” Support the Canadian Olympic Team now.  

  12. William (Bill) George Cody passed away
    Synchro Canada sadly announces the death of William (Bill) George Cody, husband of Rose Cody the previous Vice President of FINA’s Masters Swimming Committee and current Chair of the UANA Technical Synchronized Swimming Committee. Mr. Cody served numerous administration positions for sport in Puerto Rico, including President of the Puerto Rican Swimming Federation. In addition, he was a member of the Executive Committee and Treasurer of the Central American and Caribbean Swimming Federation (CCCAN). Synchro Canada would like to offer our sincerest condolences to Rose and her family.
