- 2011 Eastern/Atlantic Divisional Championships
The 2011 Eastern/Atlantic Divisional Championships are under way at the Olympium Pool in Etobicoke, Ontario. Check out the live and full results on the Synchro Canada Website.
- Canada collects two gold and one silver medal at the German Open
Synchro Canada’s senior national synchronized swimming team won two gold and one silver medal at the German Open. Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon played an integral role in both gold medals for Canada, including one in duet with new partner Élise Marcotte. In the team event, the Canadian team won the silver medal at only 0.68 points away from China, the 2010 FINA World Cup silver medalists. At the competition, Canada placed third and was 0.9 points behind the same Chinese squad. Check out the press releases.
- NEW DEADLINE: Call for Nominations for Synchro Canada’s Development Teams
Synchro Canada is looking to recruit 15 keen individuals from across the nation to fill various positions on the three Development Teams. Please send in your nominations no later than Monday, March 21th, 2011. More details and the application form.

- Tickets for the 2012 Olympic Games
The first phase of the public sale of the 2012 Olympic Games tickets is going on now and will end April 22, 2011. The sale is not handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Rather, tickets are sold through a registration system followed by a lottery process. Complete details can be found on the CoSport.com Website.
- Deadline for the April Canadian Synchronized Swimming Community Member of the Month: Wednesday, March 30
You have until Wednesday, March 30 at 5 pm (Eastern time), to send the name, a picture and an explanation of a person that you think must be the April Canadian Synchronized Swimming Community Member of the Month. To do so, please send it to

- CAAWS Women and Leadership Program: Call for Workshop Host
CAAWS is seeking organizations interested in hosting a Women and Leadership workshop in their community between July and December, 2011. The deadline for applications is April 29, 2011. More details.
- COC to Spread Olympic Spirit Across Atlantic Canada
The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is set to land in Atlantic Canada next month for its signature annual event and celebration, as the Olympic family gathers once again for the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame Gala Dinner & Induction Ceremony in the lively city of Moncton, N.B., on April 16. - CAC Commends Harper Government For Investment In Sports Injury Prevention
The Coaching Association of Canada, as the leader of coach education and training in Canada, commends the Harper Government for investing in sport and recreation injury prevention for children and youth. More details.
- COC President Named to Key International Olympic Committee Commission
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently announced the members of its 27 Commissions. Among those individuals on the 2011 list is Canadian Olympic Committee President Marcel Aubut. More details.

Ontario
Brianna MacLellan, a 10 year swimmer with the Durham Synchro Club, Ontario Provincial team member and current coach with the Granite Synchro Club, has been selected to attend ACTIVATE 2011! Hosted by Motivate Canada and the ACTIVATE 2011 youth organizing committee, she will be participating, with 49 other young Canadians, in this year’s ACTIVATE 2011 National Youth Leadership Forum in Ottawa, at Carleton University from May 11-15, 2011. She will have an opportunity to voice their ideas and opinions in a safe youth friendly environment while providing them with the skills, resources, and motivation to contribute to their communities in a meaningful way through sport, physical activity and recreation - as ACTIVATORS. Congratulations Brianna!
