- Synchro Canada’s Senior National Team in Toronto May 19th
Canadian senior national synchronized swimming team members who are training for the 2011 FINA World Aquatic Championships and the Pan American Games will be in Toronto on May 19 as part of a promotion day. The National Team will be the highlight of the opening ceremonies at the Ontario Open Age Group Synchronized Swimming Championships, taking place at the Olympium Pool on May 19, 2011. National Team members will showcase their routines and several of Synchro Canada’s Olympic alumni will be the MC’s. More details.
- Synchro Canada’s 2011 13-15 National Team Selection
The tentative schedule, entry form and a first memo regarding the selection of Synchro Canada’s 2011 13-15 National Team are now available.
- Synchro Canada announces its 2011 coaching staffs for the national junior and national 13-15 teams
Synchro Canada is pleased to announce the coaching staffs for the national junior and national 13-15 teams for the 2011 season. For the national junior team, Jenn Tregale (Calgary AB, Calgary Aquabelles) was named head coach and her assistants are Johana Vasquez (Terrebonne, QC, Montréal Synchro) and Maude Pelchat (Laval, QC, Dollard Synchro). Elena Podolsky (Toronto, ON, Olympium Synchro) was named head coach of the national 13-15 team. Her assistants are: Nathalie Lagrange (Saint-Léonard, QC, Montréal Synchro) and Kara Kalin (Richmond, B.C., Vancouver Pacific Wave). More details.
- Synchro Canada welcomes summer interns
Since Monday, May 9th, Synchro Canada has welcomed two interns for the summer into the Ottawa office: Brittany Gardhouse and Jean-François Blondin. Britanny is assigned to work mainly with Kristen Brawley and Khadija Cutcher while Jean-François is assigned to work mainly with Vivianne Slade and Patrick Godbout. On behalf of Synchro Canada members, welcome aboard!
- Synchro Canada information session at the 2011 Canadian Espoir Championships
Please note that Synchro Canada will host an information session for all members (coaches, officials, parents, athletes, administration, etc…) Sunday, June 5th, from 10 to 11 am (location to be announced later). Coaches and officials clinic will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.

- Synchro Canada Senior National Team in the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Calendar
Synchro Canada Senior National Team is taking part in the first ever Jumpstart "Art Meets Athletes" Calendar. Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a national charitable program that provides financial assistance to disadvantaged kids participating in organized sport and recreation. This program help to cover registration, equipment and/or transportation costs. Canadian Tire Jumpstart is publishing it’s first ever "Art Meets Athletes” calendar which includes inspiring Canadian athletes and your artwork could be featured in this 2012 calendar! All proceeds from the sale of this calendar will be used to fund Canadian Tire Jumpstart initiatives! If you know of any up and coming artists, or have an artist that you personally love, please feel free to forward them a link to the website.
