| Canada’s Simoneau wins silver at Comen Cup |

BUSTO ARSIZIO, Italy – Jacqueline Simoneau of Montreal capped a strong performance for Canada this week at the Comen Cup synchronized swimming competition with a silver medal in the solo event. It was Canada’s third medal of the competition. On Saturday, Simoneau and Anne-Marie Chouinard of Montreal were also second in the duet and Canada took bronze in the team event. In Sunday’s solo final, Anisiya Neborako of Russia won the gold medal and Anastasiya Savcuk of Ukraine was third. Canada fielded its 13-15 national team and this was the biggest international competition of the year for this age group.
