Please find below important news from Synchro Canada:

  1. 2011 Synchro Canada Convention: registration deadline is October 7
    You still have two weeks left to register for Synchro Canada’s 1st Annual Convention which will be held November 18-20 at the Sheraton Hotel in St. John’s, Newfoundland-and-Labrador. Registration deadline is October 7. Download the registration form and the schedule.

  2. Diane van der Pol selected as the 2012 Olympic Games Judge
    Synchro Canada is proud to announce the FINA selection of Diane van der Pol as one of the judges for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Congratulations Diane!

  3. Save the dates!
    Please save the following high performance event dates in your calendar.  More information will be distributed regarding these events in the coming weeks and months, but we felt it was important to send you the dates now to help with club preparation and the planning of athlete school schedules. 

    Please note the 2012 high performance year is extremely busy and full of some of the most important events of the quadrennial, including the 2012 Olympic Games and 2012 FINA Junior World Championships.  Our high performance staff has considered many factors and previously scheduled events when selecting the below dates. They will only be amended if unforeseen circumstances arise.

    Junior Talent Acceleration Camp
    Athletes and coaches identified for this camp will be sent invitations by email in the coming weeks. Please note there will be a registration fee to participate in this camp.
    Dates: December 15-18, 2011
    Location: Olympic Stadium, Montreal, Quebec

    2012-2013 Centre of Excellence Selection Camp
    The Centre of Excellence Selection camp will select athletes for the National Senior Team centralized in Montreal, Quebec, during the 2012-2013 season.  Although the selection camp will take place earlier than normally scheduled, athletes will not be confirmed to the Centre of Excellence National Senior Team until early Fall 2012. Please note there will be a registration fee to participate in this selection.
    Dates: May 31st to June 10th, 2012
    Location: Montreal, Quebec

    2012 National Junior Team Training Camp(s)
    Athletes must qualify for selection to the National Junior Team at the 2012 Canadian Open Championships.  The Junior National Team preparation for the 2012 FINA Junior World Championships will be divided into 2 camps.
    Start date of first camp:  June 12th, 2012 (additional dates still to be confirmed)
    Location: Olympic Stadium, Montreal, Quebec

    2012 FINA Junior World Championships

    Dates: September 24th to 30th, 2012 (still to be confirmed by FINA)
    Location: TBC, Greece

  5. Check out and use the brand new corporate video of Synchro Canada
    Synchro Canada officially launched its brand new corporate video talking about what synchronized swimming really is, the tradition of excellence in Canadian synchronized swimming and the values learned by participating in the sport. Synchro Canada is inviting you to freely use and present this video during registration sessions to recruit new athletes and/or sponsors. Check it out now.

    The Centre National Multisport- Montreal (CNMM) is continuing to evolve towards becoming the Institut national du sport du Québec with the recruitment of Dr. Suzanne Leclerc as its Medical Director. More details.

    Synchro Canada is inviting you to submit your best synchronized swimming pictures. Each week, a picture will be selected as the synchronized swimming picture of the week on Synchro Canada's Facebook page and Website. Please note that the pictures you send should be free of rights.
