Jacqueline Simoneau picked synchronized swimming in 2005 after she tried many different water sports because she loves the combination of artistic and athleticism all in one sport.
Four years later, Jacqueline Simoneau qualified for her first National Team, the 13-15 where she won a bronze medal in the team event at the Comen Cup. In 2010, still as a member of the 13-15 National Team, the athlete from Montreal won the silver medal in duet, got third place in figures, and, above all, won the gold medal in solo by beating a Russian representative. This is still her favourite memory so far.
In 2012, in her first junior year, she won a bronze medal in the solo event at the 2012 FINA World Junior Championships as a member of Synchro Canada's Junior National Team member.
In her free time, she likes to read and cook. She likes to try and imitate the cakes that they do on the show “Cake Boss”. After her athletic career, she would like to become a pediatrician.
Until then, she is looking forward to taking part in the 2014 FINA World Junior Championships and the 2016 Olympic Games.
