- 2011-2012 Club Excellence Program
Details about Synchro Canada’s 2011-2012 Club Excellence Program are now available. Deadline for application is February 24, 2012. Download the documents including an overview of this year program and differents checklists.
- Synchro Canada finalist in three categories at the 2011 Gala Sports Québec
Synchro Canada’s Senior National A team and members are finalists in three categories at the 2011 Gala Sports Québec, which will be held Tuesday, December 20 in Montreal. Synchro Canada’s 2011 FINA World Championships team is finalist in the Team of the Year category, Julie Sauvé, Meng Chen and Anastassia Goutseva, coaches of that team, are finalists for the Collective Sport Coach of the Year Award, and Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon is finalist in the Collective Sport Female Athlete of the Year category. Congratulations to all of them! The award ceremony will be broadcast live on RDS starting at 6 pm. Read the press release (French only).
- First tentative schedule for the 2012 Eastern/Atlantic Divisionals Championships
Check out the first tentative schedule for the 2012 Eastern/Atlantic Divisionals Championships which will be held March 6-11, 2012 in Quebec City, Quebec.
- Six members of Synchro Canada’s 2011 13-15 National Team in Prague
22 Canadian athletes from the 2011 13-15 Quebec and Ontario provincial teams are taking part this weekend in the Christmas Prize competition in Prague, Czech Republic. Six members of Synchro Canada’s 2011 13-15 National Team are amongst them: Jacqueline Simoneau and Anne-Marie Chouinard from Quebec and Claire Caskey, Dylan Harding, Clare McGovern and Caroline Marshall from Ontario. Team Quebec is completed with Carol Ross, Florence Despins, Sabrina Magnan, Laurence Fiset-Grenier, Kaitlin McSweeny, Madison Craney, Brooke Brimo, Maude Giguère, Alicia Plamondon and Emily MacLeod. Other team members for Ontario are Madeline Walker-Byron, Brianna Wodehouse, Amy Armstrong, Sachel Robarts, Petra Regeni and Cosette Leblanc. Good luck to all of them! Follow the competition.

The 2012 Team Investors Group Amateur Athletes Fund applications are now available. If you know of a senior national team amateur athlete in your area, encourage them to apply for one of twenty $5,000 bursaries awarded annually. Applying is easier than ever this year since all the information you need is on the site, Applications need to be submitted by January 31, 2012. Apply now.
