Karine Thomas dedicated herself to synchronized swimming in 2000 after trying her hand at many sports. Six years later, the athlete from Gatineau was selected to the Junior National team which represented Canada at the 2006 FINA World Junior Championships in China, still her best memory so far in this sport.
Studying in Health Sciences to possibly work in the pediatric area, Karine Thomas likes synchronized swimming for the friendships created with her teammates.
Her teammates surely like her talent in the kitchen as she boasts to cook the best cookies in the world. In her free time, Karine Thomas also likes to see movies and savor sushi.
She represented Canada at the FINA World Aquatic Championships in 2009 (bronze-combo, 4-technical team, 4-free team) and 2007 (6-free team, 6-technical team) and was part of the Canadian Team champion of the 2009 FINA World Trophy.
