    Be social networked!
Social medias like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube is the actual “flavor of the month” to communicate with the younger ones and less younger ones. People now are online to be up-to-date with news, pictures or videos from friends or artists/organizations they like. After a quick research on Facebook, Synchro Canada found out that only 45 % of the clubs across Canada have a Facebook page (60 % in Quebec, 48 % in Ontario, 46 % in Atlantic and 36 % in Western Canada). Amongst them, 39 % was an open page so people could get a look and check for news for this club. For Twitter, only 9 % have an account! Many of the Facebook pages did’nt have any activity for a long time (many were close to being archived – some of them had unanswered questions from media on their wall). We also found out that many were not their official team page. We all know that amateur sports are all short in ressources. But with social media, you may maximize your opportunity to reach your market in this new technological time. Let’s not forget that with social media, the sky is the limit to reach your athletes, kids not yet associated with the sport and the medias!
