Synchro Canada’s 2012 Annual Convention in Winnipeg

Canada’s synchronized swimming elite will gather in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on October 12-14, 2012, for Synchro Canada’s 2012 Annual Convention.

Last year, the convention, held in St. John’s, N.L., assembled more than 80 Synchro Canada employees, committee members, athletes, coaches, national senior team specialists, developmental and high performance coaches from across Canada, Canadian international and national officials and provincial association members.

Synchro Canada also brought senior national team members preparing for the 2012 Olympic Games and gold medalist in the team event at the 2011 Pan American Games, Valerie Welsh, and senior national team coaches Meng Chen and Kasia Kulesza. On site, they shared their technical expertise and their passion for the sport to the participants of the convention and to the young athletes and coaches from Newfoundland and Labrador.

‘’Synchro Canada is very pleased to assemble its members in Manitoba,’’ said Synchro Canada’s CEO Catherine Gosselin-Després.  ‘’We want to leave a legacy to our 382 members in the province.”

"We are so excited to be able to welcome Synchro Canada to the 2012 Convention in Winnipeg”, said Synchro Manitoba’s Executive Director, Allison Gervais. “This is a fabulous opportunity for our local coaches, officials and swimmers to be able to gain once in a lifetime experiences working with National Team athletes, coaches and world class officials."
