- Happy Easter
Synchro Canada would like to wish you all Happy Easter. Please note that the Synchro Canada National office and the Centre of Excellence will be closed Friday, April 6, and Monday, April 9.
- 2012 Western Divisional Championships
Check out full results of the 2012 Western Divisional Championships, held in Winnipeg, March 29-April 1.
- 2012 Canadian Espoir Championships
Download the updated information package and the registration form for the 2012 Canadian Espoir Championships.
- 12 and under figures group for the Canadian Espoir Championships
Please note that the 12 and under figures group for the 2012 Canadian Espoir Championships will be group 2, including:
-Ballet leg single (compulsory)
-Front walkover (compulsory)
-Porpoise
-Swordfish
Please note that Synchro Canada will not be filling spots (or using wild cards) if provinces do not fill their quotas for the 12 and under pilot.
- Synchro Canada finalizes its 2012 National Junior Team coaching staff
Synchro Canada is pleased to announce the hiring of Maude Pelchat (Laval, QC, Dollard Synchro) and Johana Vasquez (Terrebonne, QC, Montréal Synchro) as assistant-coaches of Head Coach Jenn Tregale of Calgary for its 2012 National Junior National Team. More details.
- On the road to London 2012: new video Wednesday, April 11!
Synchro Canada will publish a new video of its National Team members Wednesday, April 11. In this new video, National Team members share who’s the best in the team in different areas. Check it out Wednesday afternoon on Synchro Canada’s Official YouTube channel.
- Bursaries for Rachel Fréchette and Jacqueline Simoneau
Rachel Fréchette, Synchro Canada’s Senior National B Team member, and Jacqueline Simoneau, Synchro Canada’s 2011 National 13-15 Team member, were amongst the recipients of bursaries from the latest Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec event. Congratulations! More details (french only).
- FINA Synchronized Swimming Officials Clinic 2012 in Victoria
Synchro Canada will be hosting a FINA Synchronized Swimming Officials Clinic in Victoria, British Columbia (CAN) May 3 – 7, 2012 in conjunction with the 2012 Canadian Open Synchronized Swimming Championships. Deadline for registration is April 5, 2012. More details.
- 2012 Athlete Council Election
Synchro Canada is seeking to elect representation to the 2012 Athlete Council (AC). Synchro Canada is currently seeking nominations for two (2) Western representatives, two (2) Eastern representatives and two (2) Atlantic representatives. Please forward nominations to Courtney Brown (

Synchro-Élite
Synchro Canada would like to congratulate Geneviève Mercier, Synchro-Élite’s coach, who gave birth to a little girl named Kaila March 28. Congratulations!
Synchro-Élite welcomed Lyne Piché, Synchro Canada’s Centre of Excellence coaching staff member, Sunday, April 1. Lyne worked with athletes of different age groups.
