- New award at the Canadian Open and Espoir Championships
As announced last week with the partnership with MAKE UP FOR EVER, a new award has been added to the Canadian Open and Espoir Championships : Best overall artistic performance. The award and products from MAKE UP FOR EVER will be given to the top 13-15, 16-18, junior and senior team based only on the artistic marks during the final. Good luck to all teams!
- National Senior Team Pre-Olympic Tour
We are a few months away from the launch of the 2012 Olympic Games, Senior National Team members will travel across the country to meet their fans. During those visits, athletes will sign autograph and show you the special Synchro Canada clothing and promotional items in this Olympic year. Here is the calendar :
Saturday, May 12: Calgary, AB
At the MASY Challenge at the Talisman Centre, Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon and Élise Marcotte will unveil the themes and musics of the duets for London. Athletes will sign autographs before taking part in the athletes banquet.
Saturday, May 19 : Charlottetown, P.-E.-I.
At the Atlantic Regional Championships, Chloé Isaac will take part in the athletes banquet to sign autograph.
Sunday, May 20: Etobicoke, ON
At the Ontario Age Group Championships at the Etobicoke Olympium Pool, Jo-Annie Fortin, Karine Thomas, Tracy Little and Erin Willson will spend the afternoon signing autograph.
Sunday, May 20: Quebec City, QC
At the Quebec Provincial Championships, Geneviève Bélanger, Gabrielle Cardinal, Stéphanie Durocher, Stéphanie Leclair and Valérie Welsh will spend the afternoon signing autograph.
Wednesday, May 30: Montreal, QC (1:30 pm)
National Team will unveil the theme and music of the Free Team routine for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Saturday, June 16: Montreal, QC
9 am
National Team will present all routines for the Olympic Games in a 1-hour watershow.
11 am-2 pm
National Team members are inviting you for a big get together to sign autographs, to meet them before their departure for the Olympic Games the next day and this include some surprises!
Admission fee and details for these events will follow in the next few weeks. Tickets will especially be available at the National Team visits in Toronto and Quebec City.

! Most original video will win a free technical visit by a coach from the Centre of Excellence during the 2012-2013 season, including transportation, lodging and meals. Be creative and send us your video before June 11, 2012!
- Senior National Team in London for the Olympic Qualifier
Although the Canadian Senior National Team has already qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games, the athletes are in London this week to get a look at the Olympic Qualifier which is taking place in the Aquatics Centre of the Olympic Park on the 18th to 22nd, 2012. The National Team will also do a familiarization city visit in collaboration with the Canadian Olympic Committee. Check out Synchro Canada’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages to follow their visit! Centre of Excellence
Synchro Canada would like to congratulate Kasia Kulesza, Synchro Canada's Centre of Excellence coaching staff member, who gave birth to her second child Monday April 16th at 6:57 am, a little boy weighting 8.8 pounds! Congratulations!
April 2-4, 2012 Samara and Meaghan Hipkin along with coach Vanessa Keenan from the Aurora Synchro Club trained at the National Training Centre in Montreal with the Senior National B team. "It was such great experience. We all learned so much. The team and coaches were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. Good luck to the team for their competition in Brazil this June. Thank you Synchro Canada for allowing clubs to visit the Centre. It was truly an amazing opportunity that has to be experienced."
