 Ottawa, June 12, 2012 – Synchro Canada would like to wish all 135 athletes from across Canada good luck at the 2012 FINA World Masters Championships, in Riccione, Italy as their competition begins today until Sunday, June 17.The following 15 clubs will take part to the competitions after being approved by Synchro Canada’s International Bid Selection Committee to attend the championships: ALBERTA -Calgary AquaMums Masters (Calgary, AB) - 16 athletes -Edmonton AquaMasters (Edmonton, AB) - 5 athletes BRITISH COLUMBIA -Fraser Valley Masters Synchro Club (Burnaby, B.C.) - 11 athletes -Nanaimo Diamonds Synchro Club (Nanaimo, B.C.) - 2 athletes -Pacific Elite Masters Synchro Club (Vancouver, B.C.) - 10 athletes -Vancouver Masters Synchro (Vancouver, B.C.) - 8 athletes ONTARIO -Durham Synchronized Swimming Club (Whitby, ON) - 10 athletes -Gloucester Synchro (Orleans, ON) - 1 athlete -Synchro T.O. Masters (Toronto, ON) - 8 athletes QUEBEC -Aquadanse (Quebec City, QC) - 13 athletes -Club aquatique Édouard-Montpetit (Montreal, QC) - 23 athletes -Club aquatique Marquette (Montreal, QC) - 9 athletes -Synchro-Élite de Québec (Quebec City, QC) - 10 athletes -Synchro Les Dauphines (Quebec City, QC) - 6 athletes SASKATCHEWAN -Regina Synchro (Regina, SK) - 3 athletes Dot Padget (Calgary, AB), Chris Hampshire (Calgary, AB) and Lynda Furniss (Stouffville, ON) have been appointed as judges for the competition. Dot Padget has been named as Head of Delegation. A total of 14,000 competitors from 72 countries, including 567 synchronized swimmers, will take part in the 2012 FINA World Masters Championships.
