Anne-Marie Chouinard started synchronized swimming in 2000.
The sport and artistic sides of the sport attracted her while she liked to play in the water. "Right after my first training, I knew that I would love this team environment", she said. Anne-Marie Chouinard also likes this sport because it allows her to surpass herself everyday, to work as a team, because it is very stimulating by the execution of the routines which requires a lot of work and which end with great performances, and because this is a very complex sport.
Anne-Marie Chouinard has been a member of Synchro Canada's 13-15 National Team in 2010 and 2011. She won the bronze medal in the team event in both editions and the silver one in 2011 in the duet event, which is her best memory so far in her career. She was also a member of Synchro Canada's 2012 Junior National Team.
Anne-Marie Chouinard is from Montreal and is studying at the Antoine-de-St-Exupéry High School. She likes to travel and to learn more about the culture of other countries.
After her career, she would like to work with people by specializing in the psychology, health or communication area.
Until then, she dreams about taking part in the Olympic Games. |
